Tuition
Monthly tuition covers all private lessons, master classes, and recitals:
$170/month—45-minute lesson package
$220/month—60-minute lesson package
Expectations
1) Consistent and focused practice
The amount of practice I expect varies from student to student, but in general, I expect students to practice for at least 45 minutes each day, six days per week.
2) Regular and punctual attendance at lessons
I generally cannot make up missed lessons. Because I have reserved a weekly spot in my schedule for each student, monthly tuition will remain the same whether or not a student attends their lesson. If I need to cancel a lesson, I will reduce the month’s tuition accordingly.
3) Thorough preparation
Students are expected to come to each lesson having completed all assignments from the previous lesson. They should bring all relevant materials (notebook, music books, flashcards, etc.).
4) Parental involvement
The most important ingredient in a child’s progress—besides high-quality practice—is parental involvement. For this reason, I encourage parents to sit in on their child’s lessons. If this is not possible, parents should stay thoroughly informed of their child’s weekly assignments and help them achieve their daily goals.
