60-minute lesson package———————$180/month
1) Consistent and focused practice
Ages 6-9: 30 minutes/day; 5 days/week.
Age 10-11: 30-45 minutes/day; 5-6 days/week.
Ages 12 and older: 45 minutes/day; 6 days/week.
(Please note that these are general guidelines.)
2) Regular and punctual attendance at lessons
(Please see my “missed lessons” policy below.)
3) Thorough preparation
Students are expected to come to each lesson having completed all assignments from the previous lesson. They should bring all relevant materials (notebook, music books, flashcards, etc.).
4) Parental involvement
Ages 6-9: A parent is asked to discuss weekly assignments with me after each lesson and then guide the student through each practice session.
Ages 10-11: A parent is asked to discuss weekly assignments with me after each lesson and then guide the student through part of each practice session, gradually handing responsibility over to the student but still overseeing the process.
Ages 12 and older: A parent is asked to stay informed of weekly assignments and hold students accountable for their daily practice.
5) Missed Lessons
During the school year, I cannot make up missed lessons. Because I have reserved a weekly spot in my schedule for each student, monthly tuition will remain the same whether or not a student attends his or her lesson. If I need to cancel a lesson, I will reduce the month’s tuition accordingly.
I hold studio recitals in December and May.
